The Perfect Blend of Taper and Sidecut Make This The Turn's Best Friend

Sometimes you strap into a snowboard that feels right from the first turn. The mountains are filled with unexpected twists, turns, and rhythms, and the mid-flexing K2 Instrument thrives on the unpredictability that the mountain brings.

This new directional model from K2 features a traditional camber line and utilizes our Volume Shift design to add just the right amount of width to the board for carving trenches on groomers without reducing responsiveness. We utilize our Tweekend design philosophy in the nose of the board to make floating through powder fields feel like a dream, and the Instrument's ultra-durable Bambooyah Core is lightweight, sustainably harvested, and is backed by an industry-leading five-year warranty against breakage. Carbon Torque Forks extend out from the binding inserts to the edges of the snowboard for responsive power transfer for maneuvering through tricky terrain, and the core and all its tech is hugged in ICG 10 Biax Fiberglass that has been infused with tip-to-tail carbon stringers for predictable edge tracking and hold on hard snow. To top it off, we use a fast and resilient Sintered 4000 Base and on the K2 Instrument that soaks up wax and provides the multi-season durability that'll have you playing the mountain like a fiddle.

Whether you've been riding for one season or twenty, the K2 Instrument is a directional freeride snowboard with a playful vibe and predictable feel that every rider craves.
